Social Capability in Rural Victoria
This project was undertaken as a consultancy for the Victorian Department of Natural Resources and Environment Social Capability Project in 2000-01. The aim of the project was to enhance the capability of people in the food and agriculture sector to respond positively to change. There were four main elements to the project:
- An analysis and profile of the change environment;
- Assessment of current social capability within Victoria's regional and rural communities;
- A review of approaches to enhancing and developing the social capabilities of rural communities, and
- Recommendations in respect of a strategy to develop and enhance social capability in Victoria's rural and regional communities.
