Museum of Mediterranean Antiquities
A small museum is maintained in the Centre for Archaeology in which antiquities from around the Mediterranean are displayed. The museum is open by appointment. The majority of the collection is on loan to the University.
The cultures represented in the collection include:
- Egyptian
- Mesopotamian
- Cypriot
- Etruscan
- Greek
- Roman
The major types of objects on display include:
- Sculpture
- Ceramic
- Metalwork
- Glass
- Cylinder Seals
- Scarabs
- Coins
The museum is also host to a kiosk, which provides a virtual tour of Ancient Egypt. The kiosk is part of the EternalEgypt.org project, an initiative supported by IBM and the Egyptian Government.
