The fieldwork activities will mainly take place at the excavation site of Pietramarina, an Etruscan fortress of the 5th century BCE redeveloped under the Roman rule around the 3rd- 2nd century BCE.

The formal course requirements are available at the Monash Handbooks

Applications for places close Friday 18 December 2009.

When enrolling there are two things which need to be done:

(a) you must register as soon as possible with Australian Studying Abroad.
Later you will need to pay a deposit and eventually the balance (this covers Course Delivery Fee and the specified costs relating to travel, accommodation and the infrastructure as laid out in ASA's brochure).

(b) enrol through normal procedures at Monash. Since The Field Archaeology in Tuscany is a 2010 winter course, enrolment will not take place until first semester 2010, normally in late April early May, and can only proceed if (a) is complied with.

Inquiries should be directed to Andrea.DiCastro@arts.monash.edu.au
