Note: The Graduate Certificate in Bioethics is available to domestic students in on-campus mode and also to students from anywhere in the world through distance education. The Graduate Certificate in Bioethics provides suitably qualified people with an opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in bioethics. For those who might wish to proceed into the Graduate Diploma in Bioethics, it provides an introduction to theoretical frameworks and current issues in bioethics.
Course Structure:
Students complete two of these 12 point units:
CHB4101 Ethics
CHB4102 Questions of life and death
CHB4203 Ethical issues in patient care
CHB4204 Legal issues in bioethics.
Credit Provision:
Students successfully completing a Graduate Certificate in Bioethics with average grades of credit or above can progress to a Graduate Diploma of Bioethics and receive exemptions with credit for the corresponding subjects in the graduate diploma course.
