Monash Abroad Travel Grants for the Chinese Incountry Program (2009-2010)
Students participating in the program may be eligible for a Monash Abroad travel grant of $500 for the 3 week program (6 credit points) or $1000 for the 6 week program (12 credit points). All students participating in the program are required to complete a Monash Abroad International Study Program Application Form, whether or not they are eligible to receive a travel grant.
Eligibility
To receive a grant you must satisfy all the following criteria:
- You must have an active enrolment in a Monash undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program.
- You must receive credit towards your degree.
- Your participation must be approved by a representative of your Faculty.
The following factors will also be taken into account when considering applications.
- Monash Abroad travel grants will not be provided to students who are receiving other Monash University scholarships or financial assistance for the overseas study.
- International students can participate in Monash Abroad programs, but will not be given grants to undertake studies in their home country.
- Monash students enrolled for distance education courses or at the off-shore campuses in Malaysia and South Africa are eligible for Monash Abroad grants for overseas study in third countries which meets the relevant eligibility criteria (eg for exchange students).
- Monash students who are enrolled are eligible for Monash Abroad grants for overseas study in third countries which meets the relevant eligibility criteria (eg for exchange students).
- Retrospective applications made after students have commenced their overseas study will only be considered under exceptional circumstances.

OS-HELP Loans
Commonwealth supported (HECS) students who are Australian citizens (not permanent residents) may also be eligible to apply for an OS-HELP loan of up to $5,195. See:
