The outlook for surgical services in Australasia

This report examined the size and growth of the surgical workforce in Australia and New Zealand, including the way it had been affected by government policy regarding surgical training in the two countries and their respective policies on access of immigrant surgeons to the workforce. It showed that there was a considerably greater need for surgeons than was being forecast by the Australian Government’s medical workforce training authorities at the time.
