This study reports VCE outcomes for year 12 Victorian schools by school sector and location. It shows that there is a large and growing disparity in ENTER scores for students attending government schools in inner and eastern Melbourne. This disparity translates into sharp differences in access to university places. Students attending government schools in regional Victoria are also disadvantaged, but on average do better than students attending outer suburban metropolitan government schools.
