In a report published by University World News, the authors undertake a detailed analysis of data from the 2006 Census. The data reaval that a substantial proportion of Australia's 18 to 20 year olds are not participating in any form of education. In addition, of those non-attendees, labour force participation is also remarkably low. The report can be downloaded from this website. A suplementary table to the report, which shows education participation rates by Australian federal electorates is also available.
