Single Unit studies
Single units are taken outside an award course, i.e you are not enrolled in a Monash University degree program and will not receive an award at the completion of study.
Please note that a maximum of four units can be taken per semester.
If you are currently enrolled at another insitution and wish to take a Monash unit you should go to the Cross-institutional studies section.

Fees
Single unit
Single units are only offered on a full-fee basis. For information on individual unit fees please visit the Fees web site.
How to apply
Please download the Single unit and Cross-institutional study application form and find out all closing dates on the Student Services Centre Forms web site.
Confirmation of your enrolment will be sent to you in writing.
What if I need to change my cross-institutional enrolment?
Due to changes in your study plan or changes to unit offerings at Monash or your home institution you may need to amend or discontintue your enrolment after you have enrolled.
Discontinuing
It is important that you remember that standard census dates apply to single unit studies.
You will need to discontinue your Monash unit by using an Enrolment Amendment form.
Amending your enrolment
To change units with Monash you must submit a new single unit studies application so we can assess your eligibility to enrol in the replacement unit. Please make a note on the form that this is a replacement unit.
You must meet all standard variation to enrolment deadlines with Monash (i.e. end of second week of semester).
Results
To obtain official notification of your results for any Monash units please request a transcript from student services.
