Summer Units Offered By Other Faculties
If you are enrolled in a single degree, for example the Bachelor of Arts, it might be possible for you to take a summer unit offered by another faculty. You should check your course map for details of any elective units in your course.
If you are not sure whether you have space to take a summer unit from another faculty, we recommend you submit a course progression check request. You can request a course progression check from the course information and maps section of our website.
Double Degree students are not permitted to take a unit from another faculty and count the unit towards the Faculty of Arts component of the double degree. For instance, if you are enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Commerce, you are not permitted to take a unit from the Faculty of Science and count it towards either the Arts or Commerce side of your course.

How to enrol
Summer units cannot be enrolled via WES. You must complete a manual enrolment form to enrol in summer units from another faculty. Enrolment forms are available from all faculty offices. Please refer to, contact section for Arts locations.
You must obtain permission from the teaching faculty before you submit the form to the Faculty of Arts.
