Enrol in Summer Units

Please select the type of student you are:

Current Monash student

To enrol in summer semester units, all current Monash students must complete either a manual enrolment form or a single subject application form and gain the required approval. You cannot enrol or discontinue summer units via WES.

1) Collect the appropriate form from a faculty office

  • Enrolment Amendment Form: Enrol in units in your course (Bachelor’s degree, diploma, coursework program…
  • Single Subject Application Form: Enrol in units as single subjects. You should also read the information on the Monash Single Unit site.

2) Obtain School or Centre Approval

  • You must obtain permission from the Faculty of Arts’ School or Centre that teaches the unit you wish to study. For contact details for each unit, please visit our summer units’ page.

3) Take form to the Faculty of Arts

  • Are you enrolled in a course managed by the Faculty of Arts? Submit form for assessment and enrolment. Note this includes students enrolling in Arts’ summer units as single subjects.
  • Are you enrolled in a course managed by another faculty? We will give you Arts Faculty approval.

4) Take form to home faculty

  • You must then submit the form to your managing faculty for final approval.

Single Subject Students

New students may apply to enrol in summer semester units on a non-award, full-fee paying basis. You must complete a single subject application form and submit it to the Faculty that teaches the unit.

Single subject applications for psychology units must be sent to the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.

Cross Institutional Students

If you are a student at another Australian University you may apply to study units at Monash University during the summer semester.
