Summer semester - Enrolment

How to enrol

1. Choose the unit/s you wish to enrol in and check unit details with the relevant School/Faculty (normally a maximum of three units)
2. Do not leave enrolling in Arts units to the last moment as you could miss out! Many Arts unit coordinators specify that you must contact them by an earlier date than the deadline in order to finalise class numbers, travel arrangements etc.
3. Complete an Enrolment Amendment Form (available from your Faculty Office).
4. Lodge the Enrolment Amendment Form (and any/all additional paperwork, eg Single Unit Enrolment Applications if the unit is not part of a course) by  5 November 2008 or your Faculty's deadline -whichever comes first.

Enrolling in a unit from another Faculty

You must obtain provisional approval from the teaching faculty before submitting your form to your home faculty. It is your responsibility to check both faculties' deadlines and procedures as they do vary and you may be disadvantaged if you are not aware of the current information.

For example, if you are a non-Arts Faculty student and you wish to enrol in an Arts unit you will need to have your form signed and stamped by the School in which the unit is taught and then submit it to your home faculty by  5 November 2008 or your Faculty's deadline -whichever comes first.

Equally, Arts students wanting to enrol in a unit from another Faculty will need to coordinate their enrolment so as to meet all the teaching faculty's requirements and still abide by the Arts Faculty's procedures.

Discontinuation dates

The last day to discontinue an Arts summer semester unit without academic penalty varies for each unit.

• To drop a unit, you must complete use an Enrolment Amendment Form available from your Faculty Office on your home campus.

NB: If you are studying an overseas unit and want to withdraw from that unit you must email the Arts Coursework Office that you want to discontinue at Coursework@arts.monash.edu.au. Only emails from Monash student accounts will be accepted.

Timetabling and Tutorial Listing

As attendance requirements vary between units, information on timetabling and the location of seminars can only be obtained from the unit coordinators.
