Variation to study requirements
These processes only apply to Arts administered courses OR disciplines .Variations to major or minor requirements
The requirements for majors and minors (or a first-year sequences) in Arts disciplines for any particular year are listed in the Areas of Study.
However, sometimes due to your study interests or the availability of units in a particular year you may need to request that a core unit, or an additional elective be approved for inclusion in your major or minor discipline. This is called a variation to a major or minor requirement.
Permission to vary a major or minor requirement can only be granted by the discipline's program co-ordinator(or approved delegate).
To request a variation and have the it lodged on your student file please complete the Variation to study requirements form - including the appropriate program approval - and sumbit it to the Arts Office on your home campus.
IMPORTANT: if you do not follow the listed requirements - or get approval to vary a disciplinary requirement BEFORE you study the unit(s) in question you may jeopardise your course completion and graduation.
