How to select preferences Allocate+
- You need an Authcate
account and internet access to use the Allocate+ system. If you do
not have an Authcate account, you can register for a new one via
the Accounts
and Passwords web site.. You will need your Monash student
ID or VTAC
number to do this.
If you already have an Authcate account,
and are having trouble loggin in, please see the Accounts
and Passwords web site. - Ensure you
are using version 3 or later of Netscape
or Internet Explorer (Click Help, About... to find out).
- Go to the Allocate+
student login page.

- Enter your authcate username
and password. Once you have logged-in, you will see your enrollment
for Summer Semester, Semester 1 and Full Year units in 2003 on the
left-hand side of the screen. Please note that it takes 2 hours for
changes made in WES
to transfer over into the Allocate+ system:

- Select the first unit from the
list on the left-hand side of the screen and key in preferences.
You will need to nominate at least six (6)
preferences if they are available. If there are any flagged timeslots
you must include them in your preference
list, even if they are your last two preferences:

- Once you
have nominated your preferences, click on the
button, and make
sure you get a screen similar to the following:

- You will
need to repeat this process for each activity group in each unit
you are enrolled in. Once you have completed this, you can then click
on 'My Preferences' to check an overview of your preference
selections:

- If you go back into a unit you
have already set preferences for, you will see a summary of your
preferences, and be able to amend them:

- Once the sort has been completed
(see the timeline for
details) you will be able to select 'My Allocations' and
see which activities you have been scheduled into, and be able to
make amendments.
- When you have finished, click
on Logout to exit

- You should now close the browser
window to prevent anyone else from changing your preferences.
