Step Five: Complete Your Enrolment Via WES
What Is WES?
The Web Enrolment System, usually called WES, is the computer based system that allows you to enrol in your units online from anywhere in the world. Using WES you can complete your Enrolment Questionnaire and your CSP-HELP (formerly HECS-HELP) application (for CSP students) OR Fee-HELP (for Full-fee students) application (CSP and Fee-HELP are discussed in Step seven).
Some courses do not allow you to use WES for all your enrolment steps - this is because some of it must be done by you in person. Information regarding these courses is in your offer letter.
You can login to WES using your Monash authcate username and password and either your date of birth or postcode.
Important!
When you successfully complete any online transactions using your Monash authcate username and password (e.g. your Enrolment Questionnaire) you will receive transaction numbers - just like the ones you receive when you use an online banking system.
Transaction numbers are your proof that you have successfully completed an online transaction - a copy of all transaction numbers is automatically sent to your Monash student email account:ALWAYS keep these records as they are your transaction evidence.
What to Do Via WES
Before you enrol you must use the Web Enrolment System (WES ) to complete the following WES modules:
- Postal, Emergency and Mailing address information
- Enrolment Questionnaire (for all students)
- CSP HECS-HELP application (for CSP students) OR Fee-HELP (for full-fee students) application
- Unit enrolment
Unit enrolment
Arts coursework students enrol in units online. Once you have enrolled in your units you have officially accepted your place.
Honours students don't need to enrol via WES. Once you notify us that you will accept your offer, we will enrol you in your approved honours units. However, you must check your contact details, complete an enrolment questionnaire and the CSP HECS-HELP application (for CSP students) OR Fee-HELP (for Full-fee students) application.
How to Use WES
WES will take you step by step through each stage. Once you have logged into WES you go into the Enrolment section and complete the information in each of the modules 1-4 above. You need to do each of these in the order they appear in WES as each module is only activated once you have completed the previous one.
If you need further assistance with WES you should consult your WES help flyer included in your offer package or visit the WES website.
Once you have completed modules 1-4 you need to visit your student email account (you can access this via your my.monash portal ) and print out the confirmation emails for modules 2 and 3 above. Confirmation emails are sent to your student email account automatically every time you successfully use WES.
Important: What You Enrol in Via WES Can Be Changed
Don't panic if you are unsure of what units to enrol in or even if you have successfully used WES but now want to change your mind.
WES is open until the end of the second week of each semester, and you can amend your enrolment twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
