How to apply: Monash Arts students | Arts/Law and students of other Monash faculties | Students from partner universities

Monash Arts students application process

The application process for Monash Arts students applying for all units (except the history units listed below) will involve the following steps:

  1. You will register your interest in the program by completing the Monash Arts Students Application Form [PDF 71kb] and submitting it to the Coursework Office (see below for address)
  2. You will be contacted to complete an Australian Studying Abroad (independent tour agency) Package Reservation Form, to confirm your travel and accommodation arrangements
  3. You must then pay the non-refundable deposit to Australians Studying Abroad to confirm your place. You will also be advised when the balance of payment is due (this covers the course delivery fee and the specified costs relating to travel, and accommodation)
  4. Once your place is confirmed you will be enrolled into the units matching your program selection

Students enrolled in other faculties at Monash should consult their home faculty for advice on whether they can include one or more of Arts faculty offerings among their elective units.

History units

Applications for the following history units must be made directly to the History Department:

Arts/Law and students of other Monash faculties application process

Students enrolled in other faculties at Monash are welcome to participate in the criminology, politics and Australian studies programmes in Prato 2009. In particular, Arts/Law or Law students may wish to take one or two of the Arts units in Prato as electives, together with their Law program.

Applications for non-Arts students are administered through the home faculty. Students should consult their home faculty for advice on whether they can include one or more of the Arts in Prato offerings among their elective units.

Students from partner universities

Monash Arts welcomes students from partner universities to participate in the criminology programme in Prato 2009. The application process for students of partner universities applying for these units will involve the following steps:

  • You must consult the academic advisor for your university prior to submitting the application.
  • Complete the Students From Partner Universities Application Form [PDF 71kb].
  • Return your completed application to your academic advisor who will forward it to Monash University.
  • Students are responsible for ensuring their passport is up to date.
  • Students are responsible for booking flights, accommodation, meals, incidentals and arranging appropriate travel insurance.
  • A payment of $AUD300 must be made to the University using the Faculty online payment system. Questions regarding the payment system should be directed to Tommy Fung at tommy.fung@arts.monash.edu.au.
