Monash Arts Overseas Study Programs

The increasing popularity of our short-term programs is a reflection of the quality of student experiences. In many cases our academics have collaborated with their colleagues from around the world to deliver programs that access the expertise and resources of specialists who are international leaders in their field.

Our short-term programs range from geography on the Italian Rivera to genocide studies in Rwanda, language programs in Japan, history tours of Gallipoli and a range of intensive courses at our centre in Prato, Italy.

Short-term study programs vary in length but generally run between 2 and 8 weeks.

You could also spend 2 weeks in Israel and Palestine exploring peace, conflict and reconciliation, or travel to Rwanda and South Africa to study apartheid and genocide. Most subjects run every second year and new tours are being developed all the time.

The three-week Prato course was so intense we found ourselves with enough material and ideas to occupy the next two or three years of study and practice, but the enormity of the experience itself will be a source of inspiration and self-motivation for many years to come.
