Enrolment Amendment
Amending enrolment details
After the initial re-enrolment period the WES reopens so that students can make changes to their unit enrolments. This can be done via WES during the period after the release of results (early December) until just before the Christmas shut down (for yearly dates please visit the re-enrolment key dates area). During this period students who did not re-enrol during the timely re-enrolment period in October to early November (for yearly dates please visit the re-enrolment key dates area) are also able to do a late re-enrolment via the WES by accepting the late access fee.
If you re-enrolled during the timely re-enrolment, or late re-enrolment periods you can make further changes to your enrolment at the start of the year (from January - March but no later than the end of the week 2 of first semester for first semester unit additions) during the WES variation to enrolment period. You can also change your enrolment at mid-year via the WES- again you have until the end of the week 2 of second semester to change your enrolment without penalty (for on-campus units, off-campus units have earlier deadlines).
Discontinuations can still be made via WES after the second week of semester. For any other changes to unit enrolments you will need to contact your faculty.
Further information regarding critical dates for enrolment amendment can be found in the Student Resource Guide.
What to do if you have failed a unit
Because you are required to re-enrol before results are published, you should initially re-enrol assuming you will pass all units.
Once results are published if you have failed any units which are pre- or co-requisites for the upcoming semester, the upcoming units may be shown on your web 'enrolment form' as 'INVALID'. You will need to remove any 'INVALID' units and select replacement units.
Students who have failed a unit can still use WES to re-enrol and amend their enrolment.
Enrolment load
Enrolment load is measured in EFTSL (Equivalent Full Time Student Load). A full time student will normally be enrolled in 1 EFTSL per year (48 credit points). An EFTSL of less than .75 (36 credit points) is defined as a part-time study load.
Under enrolment of credit points
If you are an international student under-enrolment may affect your visa. For further information see "Visa information for international students".
