Drama and Theatre Studies: Arts Honours Area of Study

The honours program in Drama and Theatre Studies is administered by the School of English, Communications, and Performance Studies .

Drama and Theatre Studies honours can be completed within the honours degree of the Bachelor of Arts or the honours degree of the Bachelor of Letters.

Students who completed the Bachelor of Performing Arts (and meet the necessary entry requirements) can complete the honours degree of the Bachelor of Performing Arts.

How to apply

Note: It is possible to do Honours in Drama and Theatre Studies part-time, although this is not recommended.

Program

Students complete 48 points at fourth-year level including: a dissertation, thesis or creative project; a compulsory coursework unit (DTS4000); one additional coursework unit chosen from the electives listed. Students are also required to attend a short methodology course.

Coursework units and the thesis topic are chosen in consultation with the Drama and Theatre Studies Honours Coordinator .
