Film and Television Studies: Arts Honours Area of Study

The honours program in Film and Television Studies is administered by the School of English, Communications, and Performance Studies .
Film and Television Studies honours can be completed within the honours degree of the Bachelor of Arts or the honours degree of the Bachelor of Letters.
How to apply
Students intending to enter honours in Film and Television Studies must complete a major in that discipline or an interdisciplinary program such as Visual Culture. Students completing a Visual Culture major are encouraged to consult as early as possible with the fourth-year honours coordinator in planning their major sequence.
Program
Students complete 48 points at fourth-year level including a thesis and two coursework units chosen from the electives listed. Students are also required to attend a short methodology course.
Coursework units and the thesis topic are chosen in consultation with the Film and Television Studies Honours Coordinator .
