Gender Studies

The honours program in Gender Studies is administered by the School of Political and Social and Inquiry.
Gender Studies honours can be completed within the honours degree of the Bachelor of Arts, or the honours degree of the Bachelor of Letters. Students can enrol in Gender Studies Honours using Women's Studies units. Students with our disciplinary backgrounds are eligible to enrol: please consult with the Honours coordinator Dr Ann Vickery.
Students are required to complete 48 points of study comprising: two coursework honours units and a thesis.

Core
GND4010 Gender, Sexuality, Power (1st semester)
Students can then choose their second coursework unit GND4020 Feminist research is highly recommended if it has not been taken as part of the major (offered in 2nd semester). Alternatively, students may select one of the options listed in the Gender Studies booklet.
Coursework units and the thesis topic are chosen in consultation with the Centre for Women's Studies & Gender Research honours co-ordiantor Dr Ann Vickery.
