Overseas applicants
Current VCE or IB students studying in Victoria should apply online through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre.
Offshore applications are made directly to the University and can be made online via International Recruitment Services.
Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA) supplementary information form
All applicants must also complete and submit the BPA supplementary information form and registration by the deadline stated in the VTAC guide (23 October 2009). All applicants will then be contacted in November to attend a compulsory audition. An audition fee of $30.00 (incl GST) applies.
Audition/interview information for 2010 intake
Audition/interviews will be held in the week following the end of VCE exams (i.e., 23-27 November 2009). Audition letters will be sent to applicants in the first week of November. If you have a problem with the time you are allocated please ring the Centre on 9905 9135. There will be a second round of audition/interviews for those applicants who apply for the BPA during the Change of Preference period.
Interstate applicants
Should attend the scheduled time/day.
Overseas applicants
If you are a current VCE or IB student studying in Victoria you should attend the scheduled time/day.
If you are applying from overseas contact the Centre for Drama and Theatre Studies to arrange how to provide either an audition tape (maximum two minutes) and/or other creative materials.
Audition pieces/monologues – what to provide
The audition/interview focuses on providing students with an opportunity to introduce themselves rather than demonstrating skills (i.e., who you really are, not just how well you can read, act, sing, etc.). Applicants should bring along a sample audition piece and/or any other creative materials
- VCE monologues can not be used for presentation
- The piece itself should be no longer than 2 minutes
- There are no set monologues – it's your choice
- We are interested in hearing/seeing whatever you want to present
- More details will be provided when we send out audition letters
- You may also want to provide examples of other creative materials such as designs and/or scripts
