Background
Stuart has a varied background in different genres of performance. He is a singer, actor, director, and has, most recently, been concentrating on site-specific performance. He recently completed his PhD, Gathering to Witness, Transcendental Intersubjective Audience at the University of Sydney.
Research
My academic work has specialized in the application of phenomenological methodologies to the study of performance. I am interested in the application of group phenomenology to the profoundly intersubjective processes of performance. I am currently researching Time and Performance with a panel of other academics and performers.
