Second and Third Year Units in Drama & Theatre Studies (DTS units)
The units offered at second and third year level by the Centre cover a range of different interests. They include historical contemporary perspectives on theatre and performance as well as a strong focus on cross cultural understanding of theatre. These units will involve research and discussion of specific topics in class although many units also provide opportunities for practical work to be developed. Contemporary approaches to theatre studies including performance analysis and critical perspectives from literary theory and cultural studies are introduced as well as different techniques relevant to the production processes of the theatre.
