Graduate Research Funding Support

Higher degree research students have access to a range of funding support options at both University and Faculty level.

ECPS Graduate Research Support

The School of English, Communications and Performance Studies maintains an HDR Support Fund to provide financial assistance with small expenses entailed in research activities, such as conference attendance, travel for research purposes, and publications.

ECPS HDR students can apply for funding from the School throughout the period of their candidature: PhDs can access a maximum of $3500; MAs can access a pro-rata amount. You can choose to request a lump sum for the maximum once during your candidature or make separate requests for smaller amounts over the period of your candidature. Funding is normally provided as a reimbursement. If you applying for funding to supplement one of the University and/or Faculty schemes you should always apply for the University or Faculty-funded grant first.
