Indexes to Source Manuscripts
Compiled by Meredith Sherlock with assistance from Harold Love.
This archive contains a series of complete indexes to the contents of the principal manuscript sources for the text of Rochester, permitting the versions of poems cited in the edition to be studied in their transmissional contexts.Please note that some of these indexes are currently still in draft form awaiting final correction. The archive is to be replaced at a future date by an enlarged one covering all significant sources for Restoration scriptorial satire. A first-line index to the enlarged archive will be published in Harold Love's English Scriptorial Satire, 1660-1714, under contract to Oxford University Press, with publication envisaged for 2004.
