German Studies offers three postgraduate degrees: Masters by research (MA), Doctor of Philosophy by research (PhD) and Master of Translation Studies.

Master of Arts in German Studies (by research)

Areas: Language and linguistics, literary studies, cultural studies Joint supervision with other schools in the Faculty is also possible. The thesis topic must be determined in consultation with the supervisor, who is to be selected in consultation with the graduate coordinator. Thesis length: 30,000 - 40,000 words
Candidature: Two years full-time or four years part-time

Doctor of Philosophy in German Studies (by research)
