Scholarships

The Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD - German Academic Exchange Service - http://ic.daad.de/sydney/ ) is Germany’s lead agency for the promotion of German language studies and academic development and cooperation across a broad range of disciplines. Monash German Studies has had a long-standing and very successful relationship with the DAAD since our Department was established in the 1960s. Since then, hundreds of our students and emerging academics, especially in the fields of German Cultural and Literary Studies, Linguistics, History and Media Studies have benefited from the DDAD’s generous scholarship schemes which range from six-week intensive language courses and full-semester scholarships for undergraduate students, to 12 months postgraduate PhD scholarships. Monash German Studies provides comprehensive mentoring support to students wishing to apply for DAAD scholarships.
