MCEM is conducting a national survey of private investors and super members to gauge attitudes to non-financial factors in relation to investment choice. The research program extends recent research undertaken by Resnik-KPMG into investor attitudes.
Sustainability and the investment sector (stage 1) - Australian Research Council
The first stage of a two-year research program into sustainability and the investment sector was completed in 1999, involving a survey of investment analysts and fund managers in Australian financial institutions. The first stage focused on the extent to which analysts and fund managers currently incorporate environmental factors into investment decision-making processes.

The second stage involved focused interviews with analysts and fund managers to identify barriers to the incorporation of environmental factors into investment analysis. This research has provided key insights to inform awareness-raising and professional development programs.
