Artic Transitions in the Land Atmosphere System (ATLAS)
COUNCIL
Site photos 1999

The five sites chosen for study during the 1999 field season at Council represent a transition of vegetation types from Tundra to White Spruce Forest. These sites feature a transition in the dominance of plant functional types that will allow us to evaluate the importance of ecosystem structure and function to land surface-atmosphere interactions in transitional arctic systems.
