Useful Links and Web Info.

The Monash University website is a huge and diverse site, many thousands of levels deep. It contains literally thousands of pages and is made up of hundreds of smaller sub sites maintained and developed by individual faculties, schools, centres and groups.

Geography and Environmental Science (GES) , is one of those sub sites. The following diagram shows the hierarchy of our website in the context of the overall University site.
Web Hierarchy

Following is a list of useful links. Many are part of the GES website, while others are at the Faculty or University level. Almost every page will contain a Monash University ' Header ' and ' Footer '. These will look very similar, with slight variations, depending at what level they exist.

The following is an example of the header and footer as it appears in all pages of the GES website. It contains useful links and information about the page.

Header

Appears at the top of almost every page within the Arts Faculty. Similar headers appear elsewhere through the Monash site. Monash Header

Footer

Appears at the bottom of almost every page within the Arts Faculty. Similar footers appear elsewhere through the Monash site.

Monash Footer
A useful link to search the University database for information on staff members, such as room locations, phone numbers and email contacts. Link to the powerful search engine to help find information and topics. If you access it from a GES or faculty page, your search will be confined within the Arts Faculty section of the website. There is an option to search at the University level, which includes the entire Monash site.
