Application process
Step 1 — Expression of interest
To express an interest in undertaking a research degree please complete the Arts Research Expression of Interest Form [RTF 74kb].
The Expression of Interest Form should then be forwarded to the faculty by post or email: research@arts.monash.edu.au

Step 2 — Submit an application
If an academic member of a school is willing to support your candidature, you will be invited to submit an application by the faculty.
Masters applications
- International students:
- Download the International Admissions application form
- Domestic or permanent residents:
- Download the Faculty Masters by Research application form [RTF file]
PhD applications
- Download the PhD application form (From the Monash Research Graduate School site)
Step 3 — Scholarships
Scholarship applications close at the end of October each year (generally October 31). Applications are usually available from the schools in August. You will be advised of the outcome of your application by January.
