Personal History
I began my studies at the University of Queensland, where I completed my undergraduate studies in Ancient History, Archaeology and Philosophy and continued there until I completed a Research Master of Arts in Ancient History in 2000. I then initially undertook my doctoral studies in 2001 at the University of Melbourne, which was completed at the University of Adelaide in 2005. In 2004 I commenced teaching as an Associate Lecturer in Classics and Ancient History at the University of New England, which continued until the end of 2006. I began teaching as Assistant Lecturer in Archaeology and Ancient History at Monash University in 2007.
Current Research
Currently I am working on several research projects. Most recently I have been in the process of writing a commentary on the Life of Marcus Aurelius in the Historia Augusta. There is also a co-authored book with Rebecca Wassenberg from the University of New England in the final stages of production (titled Romano-British Tombstones between the 1st and 3rd Centuries AD: Epigraphy, Gender and Familial Relations) and this should be released with Archaeopress, in the British Archaeological Reports, British Series by the second half of the 2007. I am also currently writing a biography on the Hellenistic ruler, Pyrrhus of Epirus.
