A Collection on Gippsland
The Centre for Gippsland Studies houses a library/archive that contains books, journals, newspapers, reports, manuscripts, ephemera, photographs and maps relating to the history, Aborigines, environment, social sciences and literature of Gippsland. All items are indexed on Gippsdoc, a bibliographic database.
The CGS also publishes a newsletter, Gippsland Roundup, which gives details on new acquisitions to the Centre's collection.
Underway at the moment is a project to digitise the CGS picture collection and make it available through Picture Australia
The Centre for Gippsland Studies is open to the public Mondays to Wednesdays, 9-5.
