Biography
Dr Andrew Gunstone is the Director of Research for the School of Applied Media & Social Sciences (SAMSS).
Andrew is a Senior Lecturer, Australian Indigenous Studies in the Centre for Australian Indigenous Studies in SAMSS.
He has researched and published widely in the areas of Indigenous Studies and Indigenous Politics, particularly in relation to reconciliation, stolen wages and higher education policy.
Andrew is the Foundation Editor of the Journal of Australian Indigenous Issues.
Research interests
Current research projects
- The Australian Reconciliation Movement – analysing the post-2000 Australian reconciliation movement, both at a local and a national level.
- Stolen Wages in Victoria – investigating the history and impact of stolen wages policies on Indigenous peoples in Victoria.
