Darsheini - Community Learning Program

Darsheini - lit. explain me, seek me, from the root d'r'sh , to seek out. A technical term used by commentators when encountering a difficult verse, as in "this verse cries out 'darsheini! - Interpret me!'". Another meaning: Dar Sheni - second home or make it your second home. Another meaning: Dor Sheni - the second generation.
Darsheini is the community education program of the Centre. Darsheini offers pluralist learning that seeks to encourage new and diverse opportunities for modern Jewish identity and experience. From Bible to philosophy, from Talmud to poetry, Darsheini's short courses and special one-off events are sure to ignite your imagination, stimulate your mind and open your heart. Whether you are a seasoned learner or a newcomer to Jewish life, Darsheini invites you on a journey of self discovery.
