Visiting Fellows
Each year, the ACJC invites visitors to participate in its research and teaching program and to conduct public lectures for the community. Academics are invited to apply for the following fellowships:
- Leon Liberman Chair Visiting Fellow – a 3 month fellowship from approx March-June 2009 to teach an undergraduate unit on Modern Israel and a graduate unit on the place of Israel in Jewish thought.
- Leon Liberman Chair, Visiting Fellow – a 3 week fellowship for an academic to conduct an intensive course in the Historiography of the Arab-Israel conflict, from mid-June-mid July, 2009.
- Leon Liberman Chair, Distinguished Visiting Fellow – a series of public lectures for a short period at any time during the second semester, July-October.
- ACJC Visiting Fellow, Holocaust & Genocide Studies – a 3 week fellowship to contribute to the teaching and research environment of Holocaust and Genocide studies. First semester, 2009 (March-June).
- Winter School Fellows – a teaching fellowship in any area of Jewish studies to conduct an intensive 3 week series of community lectures in July 2009.
Applications should be sent to the Director, Mark Baker. Fellowships cover travel, accommodation, and honorarium.
Former visitors to the Centre include Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks, Professor Yedidia Stern and Professor Yehuda Bauer.
