Asian Association of Victoria Awards
The aim of the Australian Asian Association of Victoria Inc. is to promote friendship and understanding between the peoples of Australia and Asia. It operates at a cultural and social level - it is not a trade or political organisation. In furtherance of its aims, the Association has for more than two decades encouraged first year university students to pursue the study of Asian languages. The Association recognises outstanding first year students through the Australian Asian Association Asian Language Awards. Closing date: December each year.
- Asian Studies Association of Australia Awards
The Asian Studies Association of Australia awards an annual prize of $1000 to encourage and reward excellence in scholarship on Asia at the doctoral level, to publicize the best young Australian scholarship on Asia, and to encourage its publication in Australia. The award is restricted to PhD theses accepted for the award of PhD at Australian tertiary institutions on topics wholly concerned with Asia or the relations between Australia and Asia. The award will be made for theses submitted during the previous year. Closing date: April each year.
- JASON (Joint Academic Scholarships On-line Network) is a national database of postgraduate scholarships to help students to either study in Australia or to help Australian students to travel overseas for part of their studies.
