Computing in Korean - Korean Studies
OPTIMISE YOUR BROWSER
- Internet
Explorer 3.0 or higher:
1) View >
Internet Options > Fonts
Character sets: Korean
Proportional Font: GulimChe (or other Korean fonts)
Fixed-width Font: GulimChe (or other Korean fonts)
2)
View > Internet Options > Languages > Add >
Korean [ko]
Highlight 'Korean [ko]' and move
it up to the top of the list by clicking the 'Move Up' button.
Click 'OK'
* If you encounter Korean pages
which are not displayed in Korean properly, do the following:
View > Fonts > Korean - For
Netscape Navigator (Communicator) 4.0 or higher :
1) Edit > Preferences > Appearance > Fonts
For the Encoding: Korean
Variable Width Font: GulimChe
(or other Korean fonts)
Fixed Width Font: GulimChe (or
other Korean fonts)
Click 'OK'

Edit > Preferences > Navigator > Languages >
Add > Korean [ko]
Highlight 'Korean [ko]'
and move it up to the top of the list by clicking the 'Up'
arrow button.
Click 'OK'
* If you
encounter Korean pages which are not displayed in Korean properly,
do the following:
View > Character Set >
Korean
* If the above action does not solve the problem,
do the following:
Edit > Preferences >
Appearance > Fonts
and choose "Use my default
fonts, overriding document-specified fonts".
