KLEC: User Guide for Photos and Clipart

General Guide

You can select images to view by using categories or a keyword search. The keyword search supports Korean and English, and two types of search: (1) one word search and (2) an exact phrase search.

Korean verb and adjective endings used in keyword descriptions:
Instead of -다, present (-아/어요) or present progressive forms (-고 있어요) are used to reflect the fact that the keywords are to describe the images. For example,공부해요 or 공부하고 있어요 is used instead of 공부하다 (to study). This also applies to English verbs as well. Instead of 'study', 'studying' is used.

Viewing images in a search result:
Once you have performed a search and have chosen an images to view, the search result page will no longer be kept. Therefore, if you want to view another image from the search result, you will have to run the search again. One way of avoiding this inconvenience is to view images in a new window: point the mouse to the thumbnail image you want to view and right-click anywhere on the image and then click 'Open in New Window'.
