Gender and Sexuality Italian Style - Call for Papers
We invite proposals for papers (in English or Italian) dealing with ALL aspects of gender and sexuality in the broad field of Italian Studies, across centuries and disciplinary boundaries
Possible topics might include, but are not confined to:
- Representations of gender and sexuality in literature and film
- Social and cultural engagements with definitions and negotiations of gender and sexuality in Italian and Italophone contexts
- The influence of Anglophone discourses on gender and sexuality studies on the development of Italian Studies within an beyond Italy
- The specificity of critical and theoretical discourses on gender and sexuality within Italy
- The impact and representation of gender and sexuality studies in the field of Italian migration
Interested parties are invited to submit:
- proposed paper title and abstract of 200 words in length along with a short bio
- proposals for panels including bios
