Self-study Audio-visual Room for Students - S322
S322 is open 9.15 - 5.00 Monday to Friday during the semester and exam period.
This space has been designed for independent language learning, working on your own or in small groups. You can bring in your own materials or draw on the resources provided by your language tutors.
We have aimed to provide a comfortable environment in which you can develop your language skills. We hope you find it a useful facility.
We hope that you will use this space constructively and responsibly and we ask that you respect the following:
- No food and drink near the audio-video equipment
- Clear up any mess
- You may need to provide your own headphones (the ones provided by the School tend to disappear!)
- Feel free to move the furniture around to meet your needs (but consider the needs of others also)
- Keep noise to an acceptable level
- Treat the equipment carefully
- Report any damage or malfunctioning equipment to Ben Webb (S411) or, in his absence, to the General Office (S423)

Policies
Late Submission of Assignments
The School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics expect students to submit assignments by the due date. Students who are likely to have difficulty submitting an assignment on time are encouraged to consult lecturers early and apply for an extension.
Students seeking an extension should apply in writing before the submission date, explaining the reasons, and specifying the date to which an extension is requested.
Extensions will normally be granted in circumstances where you have clearly been prevented from studying (e.g. illness, accident) and these must be documented (e.g. medical certificate).
Please make every effort to contact your tutor or the unit coordinator if you are ill or are otherwise unable to attend or hand in homework. If we can help you, we will.
For details of penalties for late submission of assignments, see:
http://www.arts.monash.edu.au/policy-bank/policies/late-assessment-submission.php
Please note that particular arrangements may apply and students must refer to the unit outline for the precise requirements.
