Between Three Worlds Video and DVD
These feature and documentary films from Asia are subtitled in English and are made available for educational and cultural purposes, and for personal use. Our collection of Asian films are primarily Indonesian films with titles selected from over five decades of production, from the 1950s onwards; two Thai films and one Bangladeshi film.
Between Three Worlds Video has now negotiated rights to offer more than half of our films on DVD rather than on Video. We currently offer 3 films on DVD and in February 2009 we will be releasing 6 more of our titles on DVD. The new DVDs are Indonesia at the Margins (Political Documentaries and Essay Films by Garin Nugroho 1991-2002); My Sky My Home; The Tiger from Tjampa; Bitter Coffee; Sorceress of Dirah and Ibunda. All videos and DVDs are on sale under the proviso that they will be used for educational or cultural purposes (in screenings in which a charge is not made) or for personal use. In cases where a film is requested by an institution in a developing country, we would consider negotiating a price more appropriate to their situation.
