NCSAS Honours & Postgraduate Residential Workshop on South Asia
The National Centre of South Asian Studies has been hosting these workshops biennially since 1995. Honours and Postgraduate students have an opportunity to network, exchange information and obtain feedback about their research. South Asia is defined as India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, the states of the Himalayas, the islands surrounding the Indian subcontinent, and Burma.
Format
During the two-day residential workshop, each student will present a brief description of their thesis and receive feedback from senior scholars working of South Asia. Prior to registration for the workshop, students are required to provide the following details:
- Topic of thesis by the student and student email address
- Name of supervisor, university, department, school and discipline
- A half page abstract about their thesis, with particular attention to the hypothesis and arguments in their research
There is a nominal fee to register. The NCSAS will cover the costs of an economy interstate airfare and budget accommodation for the duration of the workshop.
