Graduate Programme in Asian Studies
Since 2003, the Monash Asia Institute has been offering a PhD and Masters programme with a special focus on cross-disciplinary work addressing issues of regional and global significance. Currently the institute has some 23 Australian and International students working in the fields of medicine, engineering, religion, security and economic development.
How to apply to the Graduate Programme
Initial contact
Prospective students should send an email with an outline of their proposed thesis topic to the Director of MAI, Prof Marika Vicziany. They should also attach a curriculum vitae including publications list, references, and relevant work experience. Contact details are as follows:

Monash Research Graduate School
The Monash Research Graduate School (MRGS) administers a wide range of doctoral programs in addition to coordinating the university's postgraduate research training activities.
