South Asian Studies Association of Australia (SASA)
The South Asian Studies Association of Australia represents scholars from a wide range of disciplines whose interests are in the South Asian region:
- India
- Bangladesh
- Pakistan
- Afghanistan
- Sri Lanka
- Burma
- Nepal
- the Himalayan states
The diasporic nature of south Asian cultures and the supra-national influences on the region mean that the interests of scholars may extend well beyond the borders of these states.
