About the workshop
This two-day workshop provides an opportunity for early-career researchers and higher degree research students to present papers and to discuss the various topics with other senior scholars. The focus of the workshop and symposium is the life work of perhaps the last great European Orientalist scholar, Giuseppe Tucci, and the current perspective of the study of Asian cultures in Australia. Scholars will present their work in the fields of philosophy, archaeology, history and philological religion. The geographical range is from Western to Eastern Asia.
We are now able to present details of the international symposium on Friday 1 October 2010 which will follow this two-day workshop.
DOWNLOAD Abstracts (The abstracts of both the workshop and symposium are included in this document. They are presented in alphabetical order by contibutors' names.)

Contributors who are unable to attend the workshop or symposium, but would like to contribute a paper to the volume are invited to submit papers for consideration by 30 June 2010.
