Postgraduate Options from Honours
The diagrams below illustrate the options that can be taken for postgraduate study after Honours.

General Information
A fourth or honours year of study offers students an opportunity to undertake more specialised and advanced work in music.
- Entry requirements: students must have achieved an average grade of 70% from four units (24 points), three units of which must be at third year level and the other at second or third year level.
- Combined Study: Combined Honours may be taken in music and another discipline provided that all honours requirements have been met in both disciplines and subject to approval of the Heads of both schools/centres.
- Mid-year entry is offered by the School, within the limitations of the timetable (see above).
- Completion time: the honours requirements for full-time study is for one year. Part-time study is offered.
- Extra time: the School may grant an extension of time for submission of the honours thesis or for final coursework up to the last day of the examination period of the semester in which the work is due. Beyond this time special consideration forms must be submitted to the school.
