Annual Anzac address

The wreck of a WWII marine boat in the shore break at Gallipoli beach

Anzac Address 2008

In April every year Australians commemorate Anzac Day and mourn our country’s traumatic loss in war. The National Centre for Australian Studies leads research into the origins, history and ever-changing significance of Australia’s ‘National Day’. The Annual Anzac Address takes the story of the Gallipoli campaign to communities great and small who lost so many young men and women to the tragedy of the war.
