The National Centre for Australian Studies (NCAS) addresses the emerging challenges of Australia today:

  • Government and the Arts. The NCAS serves on a host of state and national government committees and plays a leading role in advocating the Arts in Australia. Learn more about the Centre's links with government and the Arts.

  • Providing expert commentary to the media on issues on national importance. Learn more about our National Conversations program.
  • Fielding major forums in urban and regional Australia. Learn more about our Outback Orations lecture program  and our Annual Anzac Address.

Innovation and interdisciplinarity is at the core of Australian Studies. We are committed to an educational partnership with Indigenous Australians and we celebrate our collaboration with the Centre for Indigenous Studies.
