Professor Graham Oppy , who is the Chief Investigator for the project, was Head of the School of Philosophy and Bioethics from 2001 to 1004 and is currently the Associate Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Arts at Monash University. He is an internationally recognised philosopher, having published a widely-acclaimed book in the philosophy of religion, Ontological Arguments and Belief in God (Cambridge University Press, 1995), as well as more than 80 papers in professional philosophy journals. Dr Nick Trakakis is employed on the project on a full-time basis as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He recently completed his doctoral studies in philosophy at Monash University and a revised version of his dissertation is due to be published this year by Springer. Dr Lynda Burns joins the project as a Research Assistant (part-time), after having lectured in philosophy at Flinders University for many years. She has published a monograph and a number of journal papers in philosophy, and has played a leading role in the introduction of philosophy in secondary schools in South Australia.
